JOB PURPOSE
This is an embedded leadership role working directly within the marketing team of a leading digital bank, based at their offices in Canary Wharf.
As the Marketing Ops Lead, your primary purpose is to help build a world-class marketing operation that enables ambitious growth. Acting as the connective tissue between strategy and execution, you will ensure marketing, product, and business priorities are translated into clear plans, aligned resources, and high-quality delivery.
By driving operational excellence, improving planning and processes, and orchestrating complex cross-functional initiatives, you will create the conditions for marketing teams to move faster, work smarter, and deliver greater commercial impact.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
-
Drive strategic alignment: Partner closely with Product Marketing to translate business, product, and marketing strategy into integrated marketing plans, ensuring activity is aligned to clear commercial and customer outcomes.
-
Orchestrate complex deliveries: Own the end-to-end planning and delivery of major product launches, campaigns, and cross-functional marketing initiatives, coordinating stakeholders across Marketing, Comms, Growth, Product, Finance, Legal, and Compliance.
-
Act as the operational hub: Create clarity around team utilisation and translate this through priorities, dependencies, timelines, budget management, and delivery milestones.
-
Lead planning cycles: Take a leading role in supporting and structuring quarterly OKR and annual strategy processes.
-
Embed marketing into Product: Work closely with Product teams to understand roadmaps, launch requirements, and delivery processes, ensuring marketing is embedded effectively within cross-functional planning.
-
Elevate channel execution: Partner with channel owners to align campaign objectives, media plans, creative development, and delivery schedules, driving accountability across all marketing channels.
-
Mitigate operational risk: Monitor campaign and project performance against agreed objectives, keeping senior stakeholders informed while proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
-
Manage agency & creative output: Partner with internal creative teams and external agencies to develop strong briefs, manage feedback cycles, and ensure assets are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget.
WHAT YOU BRING:
-
Extensive operational leadership: Significant experience in marketing operations, campaign management, or programme management roles, with a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional marketing initiatives from strategy through to execution.
-
Strategic perspective: The ability to understand not only what needs to be delivered, but why, seamlessly connecting day-to-day activity to wider business objectives.
-
Ecosystem mastery: A strong understanding of the full marketing ecosystem, connecting activity across PR, social, ATL, paid media, partnerships, CRM, web, app, and lifecycle communications to maximise impact.
-
Commercial and data acumen: Highly commercially minded and comfortable working with budgets, forecasts, and using data to inform decision-making and prioritisation.
-
Cross-functional fluency: Experience working closely with Product and Technology teams, understanding how product organisations operate (roadmaps, delivery cycles, launch processes).
-
Adaptability: The ability to move comfortably between strategic thinking and hands-on execution, bringing structure to ambiguity and thriving in fast-paced environments.
-
Senior stakeholder management: Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of building strong relationships across senior leadership, marketing specialists, and cross-functional partners.
-
Highly desirable: Experience in a product-led business.
-
Advantageous: Experience within fintech, financial services, or other highly regulated industries.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience working within fintech, financial services, or other regulated industries.
- Experience in a product-led organisation.
- Familiarity with large-scale integrated campaign delivery across multiple marketing disciplines.

We are a Growth Invention company built to help the world’s most ambitious brands grow faster. Operating at the intersection of technology and marketing, we create what is next by pioneering ideas, acting fast, and moving further because standing still just is not in our DNA.
We are drawn to people who stay curious, move with intent, and never stop inventing. Our culture runs on three values: better together, relentlessly curious, and get sh*t done. It is how we work, how we grow, and how we make things that matter.
At DEPT®, you will find the freedom to explore, the space to collaborate, and the trust to make a real impact for our clients, for each other, and for the world we are helping to build.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION
At DEPT®, we take pride in creating an inclusive workplace where everyone has an equal opportunity to thrive. We actively seek to recruit, develop, nurture, and retain talented individuals from diverse backgrounds, with varying skills and perspectives.
Not sure you meet all qualifications? Apply, and let us decide! Research shows that women and members of underrepresented groups tend not to apply for jobs when they think they may not meet every requirement, when in fact they do. We believe in giving everyone a fair chance to shine.
We also encourage you to reach out to us and discuss any reasonable adjustments we can make to support you throughout the recruitment process and your time with us.
